The toggle, chip by chip
Quick route mid-call: quick toggle also lives in the voice-channel panel. What you’re enabling: Discord's built-in suppression is powered by Krisp, runs on-device, free for all users — and filters only your own outgoing noise — teammates need their own toggle.
Set the input path deliberately while you’re in there
- Input Device: your actual mic by name — never Default, which follows Windows into chaos after every USB replug.
- Input sensitivity: Discord’s built-in gate. Turn automatic off, speak at real volume, and set the slider so your voice clears it but your keyboard doesn’t — same two-threshold logic as the OBS gate, one slider simpler.
- Echo cancellation on, AGC to taste: auto gain helps quiet talkers and annoys audio perfectionists; pick a side.
One suppressor per path
If your mic already routes through Broadcast, RTX Voice or Sonar’s ClearCast, run Discord’s toggle OFF or at most low — stacked suppressors are how streamers end up sounding like a phone call from 2004. One engine per signal path, chosen by your router lane.
What the toggle can’t do
