RTX Voice in 2026: the legacy build GTX owners still need
RTX Voice is the app that started this category — and NVIDIA replaced it. It stays on this site for one audience: GTX owners, for whom the patched legacy build is still the best free noise removal that’ll actually install.
What RTX Voice is now
NVIDIA’s original AI noise-removal app — the 2020 beta that made this whole category mainstream. Its status today: legacy app superseded by NVIDIA Broadcast; still downloadable, and patched to run on GeForce GTX cards (the reason it still matters). NVIDIA’s own guidance matches ours: RTX 2060 or newer should use NVIDIA Broadcast instead. GTX setup, chip by chip
- Download from NVIDIA’s site (their RTX Voice setup guide hosts the link — no mirrors).
- Install and open RTX Voice. Tick noise removal on the input; leave output filtering off unless incoming noise is genuinely worse than the CPU cost.

Frame budget — measure yours, 60 seconds
On GTX cards RTX Voice runs its models without tensor cores, so the toll is real and rig-specific. Anyone quoting an exact FPS cost without your rig in hand is selling something — run the benchmark instead:
- Pick a repeatable scene (same map spot, same settings) with an FPS overlay running.
- Note average FPS for 30 seconds, filter OFF.
- Toggle the filter ON. Same scene, 30 seconds, note it again.
- The difference is your real cost. Re-check after driver updates.
Community reports put modern-GPU costs in the low single digits and older RTX 2060-class cards higher — treat those as rumors with good intentions, not specs. Your overlay outranks every forum post, ours included.
Honest limits of the legacy lane
- Noise removal only — no room-echo pass, none of Broadcast’s camera extras.
- Heavier than Broadcast per unit of cleanup, especially mid-game on the cards it’s patched for. The benchmark above isn’t optional here.
- Legacy means maintenance-mode: expect it to keep working, not to get better. If the toll’s too high, the $0 fallback is OBS RNNoise for the stream and Discord’s toggle for comms — CPU-cheap and GPU-free.

- Yes — as a legacy app. NVIDIA folded its noise removal into NVIDIA Broadcast (the current product, RTX 2060+), but the standalone RTX Voice build survives, patched to run on GTX cards. That patch is the whole reason this page exists.
- RTX Voice or NVIDIA Broadcast — which do I download?
- Spec check: RTX 2060, Quadro RTX 3000, TITAN RTX or better → Broadcast, no contest. GTX card → RTX Voice, because Broadcast won’t install at all. Same family, one door each.
